The special collector's set includes Corvette Racing's two iconic factory cars that took part in the Le Mans' 24 Hours in 2003:
Car #50 (Chassis C5R-008): Controlled by Oliver Gavin, Kelly Collins and Andy Pilgrim (won 2nd place in the GTS class).
Car #53 (Chassis C5R-009): Controlled by Ron Fellows, Johnny O'Connell and Franck Freon (won 3rd place in the GTS class).
Extra added is the pace car, making it a triple pack!
Details of the set
Unique Coloring: In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Chevrolet Corvette (1953–2003), these cars did not drive in the traditional Corvette yellow at the time, but in a special glorious metallic dark blue ("Night Blue") livery with red-white-blue accents.
Limited Imposition: This is an officially numbered Limited Edition from Fly's "Historical Teams" collection.
Extension option: The presentation box is designed in such a way that there is room for an additional expansion. Fans often complete the set with the loose Fly reference 88072 (or A582), the burgundy Chevrolet Corvette C5 "Direction de Course" / Safety Car from that same race.
