The SCX STS Mercedes 280 GE (almost always referred to as Mercedes and not as Jeep) is a legendary appearance in the world of miniature racing. This unique 1:43 scale slot-car was originally produced by the Spanish brand Exin under the banner of the STS Super Track System (1985-1989). The model is specifically designed to face extreme hurdles, steep slopes and recreated Paris-Dakar rally courses.
The striking fire-red version (often equipped with authentic Marlboro stickers) combines nostalgia with an ingenious technical design.
Unique Features of the STS Mercedes 280 GE
Mechanical All-wheel drive (4x4): Unlike standard slot cars, the engine drives through gears and axles all four wheels for maximum grip on rough terrain.
Flexible Towing Contact Arm: The pantograph (guide) sits on a long, springy arm that stays deep in the slot, even when the car is driving over obstacles, bridges or through potholes.
Increased Chassis: The car is high on its rubber tread tires to prevent the bottom from getting stuck on obstacles.
